Pregnancy Testing and Options Counseling
The Pregnancy Center in Bakersfield provides pregnancy tests, counseling about pregnancy options, and referrals for medical care, adoption, and social services. They do not recommend or refer for abortion, but will provide accurate information about abortion procedures and risks to those who might be considering this option.
Peer counselors also provide follow up and telephone support to clients who desire ongoing contact during their pregnancies. Maternity clothing, nursery items and baby needs are also available.
