College Outreach: How Groups Can Get Involved
College campuses are a mission field.
With California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) located near our Southwest Center—and several colleges and universities throughout Kern County—we intentionally go where students are. Many college students are sexually active, feel overwhelmed by their circumstances, and believe they cannot handle a pregnancy or a baby. Too often, abortion feels like their only option.
Why College Outreach Matters
College students are making life-altering decisions—often in isolation, fear, or pressure. Our outreach shares options, resources, and that no woman or man has to face a pregnancy alone.
By being present on campus, we connect students to free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STI testing, parenting support, fatherhood programs, material assistance, and compassionate coaching.
Get Involved
If your group is interested in partnering with our college outreach efforts, we would love to connect with you. Together, we can bring hope, truth, and tangible support to students who need it most—and help save lives in the process.
How Groups Can Partner With Us
1. Prayer Support
Commit to praying for college students, outreach days, staff, and clients who are facing pregnancy decisions. Prayer is foundational to this ministry and vital as we step onto campuses where fear, pressure, and confusion often surround pregnancy and abortion decisions.
2. Individual Volunteers or Groups
Serve directly on campus by engaging students in respectful, grace-filled conversations about pregnancy decisions, sexual health, and the support available to them. Volunteers help share hope, truth, and life-affirming options in a compassionate, non-judgmental way. Training is provided and required, and you may serve as an individual or come as a group.
3. Campus Event Support
Partner with us to host or support outreach events near CSUB and other local campuses. Groups can help by providing volunteers, refreshments (food and drinks), giveaways, event set-up and tear-down, and encouragement. Outreach efforts often focus on high-impact locations such as dorms or health centers and key times of the academic year, including back-to-school, spring break, and finals.
